DSH Hospital Police Officers get a base pay of $4,943 to $6,061 per month plus additional pay based on the the following.
Top pay of $66,768 is based on $4,943 per month plus the recruitment & retention bonus as well as additional compensation for night shift.

Who We Are:
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) manages the California state hospital system, which provides mental health services to patients admitted into DSH facilities. The department strives to provide effective treatment in a safe environment and in a fiscally responsible manner.

In fiscal year 2019-2020, the department served 9,211 patients and employed nearly 13,000 staff in a 24/7 hospital system. We have locations in Atascadero, Coalinga, Los Angeles, Napa, and Patton.
